If you are an individual dedicated to promoting ethically responsive and internationally informed education, training, research, practice, leadership, exchange, and study, Division 52 can serve as your professional home base in further developing your skills to think and act globally.
Division 52 offers a multitude of opportunities to foster international connections among psychologists, interdisciplinary colleagues, and students, to apply psychological principles to the development of public policy, and to cultivate one's understanding of what it means to advocate for an inclusive and epistemologically diverse understanding of psychology. Such opportunities are made manifest by the implementation of the following:
Global Relations: The Fast Connect project looks to generate connections between Division 52 members. One Division 52 student member, one Division 52 Early Career Psychologist, and one Division 52 more senior member interview each other as a means of establishing new relationships across professional life stages. Check out this year's Fast Connect profiles.
Free Webinars: Division 52 serves as a hosting platform for the free dissemination of internationally relevant research and practice. Webinars on various topics and themes can be accessed virtually in-vivo or post-presentation here.
Recognition: Division 52 sponsors various awards for students, Early Career Psychologists, and seasoned professionals as a means of promoting continued outstanding research and practice. See the Awards tab for more information about such opportunities.
Information: Division 52's journal, International Perspectives in Psychology: Research, Practice, Consultation, is a literary resource committed to publishing psychological science research that examines human behavior and intervention strategies that aim to improve the lives of people around the world. Division 52 also publishes a newsletter, International Psychology Bulletin, four times a year. Lastly, Division 52 members are privy to relevant information circulated internally by its various listservs.
